Auction Success for ILM Members

I wrote to you all recently, suggesting that you try out the new Legacy Property Clinic offered by our partners Probate.Auction, and I am delighted to report that many of you have used this service, and that the first property assessed as suitable for auction has now been sold!

We are big advocates of auction as a sales method, especially when you consider that at the moment only 51% of sales secured by estate agents complete, with the rest having to be remarketed with all the delays and uncertainty that brings.

So far, the properties referred to Probate.Auction directly by our members have sold for over £20m collectively, which is a fantastic result.

Every property that is submitted to the clinic secures a donation of £20 to that charity, and properties that proceed to auction result in a further donation of £400 – on top of the proceeds of sale of course!

At their most recent auction last Wednesday one of our members sold a property for £179,000 against an estimate of £90,000, which we are obviously delighted about.

It only takes a minute to submit a property, in the worst case you have made £20 and have a report for your file, and in the best case as the recent example shows you can congratulate yourself on a big win for your charity.
