Breakout sessions bring high energy to the ILM Conference

After the success of last year’s breaktime interactive sessions, this year’s ILM Conference saw the sessions returning to provide a bit of light relief for delegates.

This year’s premium sponsors Probate.Auction and Clearanceco each hosted one main session during the breaktimes.

Joining the ILM conference for the first time as a Premium Sponsor, Clearanceco delivered an interactive and entertaining game show style session during the morning break.

Entitled ‘Leslie Crowther’s How Effing Much’, and based on The Price is Right gameplay, the team at Clearanceco brought laughter and high energy as they showcased some of the weird and wonderful items they have uncovered during house clearances and asked delegates to guess how much the items had sold for.

With prizes to be won for the closest guess, delegates were delighted to partake in the fun, whilst learning the true value those unusual treasures may hold.

Probate.Auction were returning for a second consecutive year as premium sponsors and once again brought the buzz of a live auction to the ILM conference. Having delivered a property workshop during the morning break session, offering advice to delegates with problem properties, the main event took place during the lunchtime break with the team livestreaming a property auction to a room full of attendees.

With an auction catalogue full of probate properties to sell, the auction got off to a flying start with the first property sparking a bidding war and selling for much higher than the guide price. For delegates, watching the bidding unfold in real time and seeing ‘problem’ properties selling for significant sums of money, gave an insight into the power of auctions and how they can be utilised to generate income for their charities.

For the Probate.Auction team is was a relief to see that all the properties sold, a very real risk of a live auction being that some may not. For delegates, the excitement of the bidding wars that unfolded was a real highpoint of the day.
