Conference Focus: New faces for ‘State of the Nation’
March 16, 2026With ILM Conference 2026 fast approaching, over the next few weeks, we will be sharing a bit more about what you can expect from the day, with insights from our esteemed speakers, who will be sharing details of their sessions.

For many regular conference delegates, a highlight of the day is the annual Legacy Futures session, ‘State of the Nation’, which provides insights into the importance of legacies, short-term challenges and positive long-term perspective.
This year, the presenting baton has been passed to two new faces from the Legacy Futures team, Dan Walton and Jo Masini.
Both Jo and Dan have worked at Legacy Futures for 2 years as part of the data analysis and insights team, having collaborated on a number of key projects for the Legacy Futures team.
“We work across many major UK charities providing forecasting, evaluation, and consultancy services in the legacy space,” says Dan.
The faces may be new, but delegates can expect the same insightful content as we have all come to expect from this session.
“I believe it is tradition for Legacy Futures to cover this topic,” says Dan.
“We will be covering major findings from the legacy market, including market overview, key insights into drivers and trends, and long-term outlook.
“The key take-away for delegates will be a data-grounded overview of the legacy market, insight into key drivers, and expectations for the future.”
Dan adds: “This will be the first time for us both presenting to the conference – let’s hope they’re kind to us!”
