Crispin Ellison Bursary Award – Applications now open

February 28, 2023

The Legacy Futures Bursary Awards have been set up to invest in the future talent that will help charities continue to grow through legacy giving.

One of three bursaries available, the Crispin Ellison Bursary is named in memory of the ILM founding member and lifetime President, whose career was dedicated to advancing professional knowledge in the legacy sector.

The bursary is open to applicants from the UK, who work or volunteer for a charity in a legacy administration role and are looking to further their professional development. It is judged by Matthew Lagden (ILM), Lucinda Frostick (Remember a Charity) and Elly Lont (Legacy Giving EU).

Two winners will receive a training package from the ILM up to the value of £1,000 each. For example, this will cover the cost of attaining the Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration or any equivalent training package.

We caught up with the 2022 recipients Mary Taylor Lewis and Emma Newell to find out how the bursary has helped their careers.
