All managers need to be effective drivers of the management cycle in order to get things done in business. However, good management practice may not be natural to everybody. This course teaches managers the basics of good people management and sets them on the path of being effective leaders of the future.
By the end of the course delegates will:
- Understand the management cycle
- Know the characteristics and actions of a good people manager
- Understand how to motivate
- Know how to set expectations and goals in order to drive standards
- Situational leadership and how to delegate tasks to different levels of experience and motivation
- Know how to deliver a full and effective instructions
- Know how to deliver constructive day to day feedback to drive development
- Know how to manage difficult people with appropriate assertiveness
At the end of the session we want you to feel:

- You know how to motivate and encourage
- You can set high standards and expectations
- You can manage all types of feedback
The course is highly practical. Delivered by Roman Kubiak, contested wills, trusts and estates partner from Hugh James and Dr. Gwenllian Williams of deWinton-Williams. Roman and Gwenllian combine training with their own experience to ensure you have both input and air-time.
