This interactive online training session, hosted by Natasha McKeever, Helen Beach, Abby Hammond and Olivia Pisapia of Bolt Burdon, will look at real life case examples with the chance for group discussion and questions.

Session 1 – Multiple choice questions and answers on problem areas in estate administration:

  • Executor’s costs
  • Difficult executors
  • Capacity of executors
  • Removal of executors
  • Inheritance tax traps
  • Disclaiming gifts – who authorises and who pays

Session 2 – Real life case studies to cover:

  • Adult children claims under The (Inheritance Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 – where abuse by the deceased  is claimed
  • Will challenge based on lack of testamentary capacity
  • Lay executor issues
  • Personal possessions

Places will be strictly limited and each session will last for around 45 minutes, with a ten minute break in-between. Please allow up to two hours for the training in total. The training will be completely interactive, with the chance to discuss issues and ask questions.
