Essentials Training – In Focus: Contentious Probate

This interactive training is for all those involved with legacies and will look at recent cases with the chance for group discussion and questions.

Session 1 – led by Michael Cash, Penningtons

Michael will look at the following areas, with reference to recent cases where appropriate:

• Testamentary capacity
• Removal of executors
• Early neutral evaluation and mediation

Session 2 – led by Tony Cockayne, Michelmores

• Rectification and how to avoid the pitfalls (with war stories from remote hearings)
• 1975 Act – Sections 9 and 11

Each session will last for around 45 minutes, with a ten minute break in-between. Please allow up to two hours for the training in total. The training will be completely interactive, with the chance to discuss issues and ask questions. If you have any questions or specific issues you would like the speakers to address during the training, you will have the opportunity to do so before the training.
