Impact and Influence – Session 2 of 3 

Please note: You do not need to sign up to all three sessions. These training sessions can be taken individually or as a course.

Course overview: Having the skills to impact and influence are core to any business career. In today’s working world, people need to be able to influence on many levels – in writing, in meetings, in one to one situations, in sales situations and in formal communications such as presentations.  To be effective requires knowing and applying the tactics of impressing others and keeping control. This course covers the range of skills and ensure practice in business relevant situations.

Target delegate group: This course is aimed at anyone who will be required to impress assertively and confidently in business situations.

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Know the characteristics of highly influential people
  • Understand the barriers to impressing
  • Know their own style and how to maximise it
  • Learn the tactics of being assertive without creating conflict
  • Know the tactics of influencing and impressing in a range of situations

At the end of the session we want you to feel: 

  • You understand the basics of influencing
  • You know a range of approaches to suit different situations
  • You know the body language and verbal language of influencing
  • You can manage rebuttal with ease and still convince

Delivered by Roman Kubiak, contested wills, trusts and estates partner from Hugh James and Dr. Gwenllian Williams of deWinton-Williams. Roman and Gwenllian will combine practical advice with illustration from their own experience.
