This event has already happened.

A new course aimed at providing delegates with a basic introduction to the differing probate rules of the Scottish and English & Welsh jurisdictions.

The Scottish Probate section will be led by Peter Littlefield and Gavin McEwan of Turcan Connell and will look at issues such as what makes a valid testamentary document under Scottish rules and forced heirship provisions.

The English & Welsh Probate section will be led by Nichola Sims, ILM’s Training Manager, and will cover the terms of and requirements for a valid will under English & Welsh law, and a brief introduction to the issues of capacity and knowledge & approval.
