ILM Annual Conference postponed to Monday 3 July

May 3, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that the ILM Board has taken the decision to postpone this year’s Annual Conference until Monday 3 July.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but the fact that national rail strikes are due to take place on our original date of Friday 12 May gave us little alternative.

The conference is an important highlight within the ILM calendar, which is why the Board felt it imperative to secure a new date as soon as possible.

Choosing 3 July (from a very limited number of options) enables us to bring members together before the summer break and keep our 2023 agenda on track.

We recognise this may not suit everyone’s calendar and our sincere apologies go out to all those who will be inconvenienced by these changes.

The location at etc.venues remains the same and, to help those travelling long distances on the Monday morning, we have slightly modified the agenda to accommodate a later start time of 10.25am. Registration will still open at 9.15am with coffee and pastries, so please feel free to arrive then and enjoy some networking time or visit the exhibitors’ stands.

The programme for the day currently remains the same, subject to confirmation with all our corporate partners, exhibitors and speakers. The event will also finish a little earlier and the drinks reception will be at the new time of 4.30pm-6.30pm, allowing more flexibility for onward travel.

All conference tickets will be valid for the new date and we very much hope as many delegates as possible will still be able to join us.

If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to either transfer the ticket to a colleague or ask for a refund. Kindly advise us no later than Friday 12 May if changes are required, by emailing

We regret that, as per our Booking Terms and Conditions, we are unable to refund any associated costs, such as travel and accommodation.

If you would like to attend on 3 July and had not originally purchased a ticket, please email us at the same address and we will place you on a waiting list for any tickets which become available.
