ILM is looking to appoint new directors to its board

August 11, 2021

Following the retirement of Chrissie Paphitis and Maria King we are looking to recruit replacement board members. We are also keen to increase the size of the board in an effort be more representative of the diversity of our members.

We know we would benefit from having directors who work for smaller and medium income charities and particularly those whose role includes responsibilities other than legacy administration, but we also want to hear from anyone who will bring a different perspective to the table.

As a director you would be expected to remotely attend four board meetings throughout the year as well as the AGM and Annual Conference. There will also be decisions taken over email between meetings.

This is a rewarding, interesting and hopefully enjoyable role that will provide the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge that will be of broader use in their working life. You will also be helping ILM and its members.

Please do get in touch if you have the energy to help us champion the interests of our sector and improve professional standards in legacy giving and estate administration and ultimately improve our membership offer.

You can find out more about ILM’s current board of directors here. If you would like to apply, please submit a CV and cover letter by Friday 10th September.

For more information and a role description, please contact Matthew Lagden at ceo@legacymanagement.org.uk.
