Cleaver Fulton Rankin has the largest Private Client Department in Northern Ireland and has a reputation for being the premier firm in the jurisdiction for this area of work, in particular for complex cases. The Private Client Team provides tax and estate planning advice with a particular focus on high net worth clients and also deals with the administration of trusts and estates. Office of Care & Protection work and dealing with matters affecting elderly clients are also important areas of work for which the firm has developed a strong reputation in recent years.
Senior Partner, Alastair Rankin leads the Private Client Team and has over 30 years’ experience in the area of trusts and estates. Alastair and his fellow Director Michael Graham are supported by Assistant Solicitor Timothy Rankin and other colleagues within the firm as required. In particular, Jonathan Forrester, Director, specialises in contentious probate and trust matters and acts for a large number of local and national charities in this area. The Firm’s Corporate Department, headed by Stephen Cross and assisted by Sarah Burrows, also advises a large number of charity clients on all aspects of corporate governance and charity law.
The firm also provides a Trust Administration Service for clients and in recent years has taken over a large number of trusts from providers exiting the Northern Ireland trust market.
