Cleaver Fulton Rankin’s Private Client department is recognised as one of the largest specialist private client departments in Northern Ireland, regularly advising private individuals, and local and national charities on routine and complex / significant matters.
The Private Client team provides tax and estate planning advice with a particular focus on high net worth clients and also deals with the administration of trusts and estates. Office of Care & Protection work and dealing with matters affecting elderly clients are also important areas of work for which the firm has developed a strong reputation. In addition, the team have expertise across family & matrimonial and residential conveyancing matters.
Director, Michael Graham leads the Private Client Team and has over 17 years’ experience in private client law, specialising in trusts, tax, the administration of estates and issues affecting elderly and vulnerable clients.
Michael is supported by Director, Timothy Rankin, Associate Director, Brid McColgan and Associate Solicitors, Paula Gibson and Ciara Strain. Jonathan Forrester, the firm’s Managing Director, specialises in contentious probate and trust matters and acts for a large number of local and national charities in this area. The firm’s Charity Department, headed by Director, Stephen Cross also advises a large number of charity clients on all aspects of charity law.
The firm also owns and operates a professional trustee company, Cleaver Fulton Rankin Trustees Limited, and in recent years has taken over a large number of trusts from providers exiting the Northern Ireland trust market.
