Training & events
We offer a range of legacy admin and associated professional training. Please contact [email protected] and we will help you to find the best training option for your requirements.
CiCLA and DiCLM students will find dates for upcoming assessment periods on the ILM member portal Events page.
Students can then register for an upcoming assessment period by completing the relevant online assessment registration form (the link to this form will be included on each assessment period event page.
Please note: Students need to be logged in to their ILM account to submit their paper – if you see a loading screen when clicking the button above, please check you are logged in.
After clicking the above button, you’ll come to the following page of the ILM member portal, where you’ll be able to click ‘Section 1: Upload your files’.

Enter your name and confirm the assessment period the paper relates to.
Please note: Your previous details may be saved (but we recommend checking these are correct). If you’re seeing a file is already uploaded (and yoou’re not sure whether it’s the correct one), you can remove it by resting your cursor on the file icon and then clicking ‘Remove’.
You’ll then need to click the ‘Add file’ button and select the correct paper you wish to submit, and then click ‘Save changes’

Once you’ve clicked ‘Save changes’ you’ll come to the following page (which should now show the form scetion(s) as ‘complete’).
Here, you’ll need to click ‘Submit form’.
Please note: You’ll receive an automated confirmation email within 24 hours to confirm your form submission has been received (and another to confirm it’s been processed/filed for marking at our end) – if you haven’t received this, please email [email protected] as soon as possible.

Bookings & payments
You can log in to the ILM member portal and find your membership plan via your dashboard.
This will enable you to view your membership plan, number, renewal dates, process membership and booking payments, access receipts and invoices.
You will now also be able to choose to pay by annual direct debit for your membership!
We offer a single (bulk) invoicing option to all charities with 3 or more ILM members, also know as our ‘Single Invoice Scheme (SIS)’.
Please contact [email protected] to find out more and to get this set up.
Members wishing to cancel and/or transfer their membership can now request this by completing the Member cancellation/transfer request form online, found here in the ILM member portal.
Alternatively, you contact the ILM Team by email to [email protected], and we can help you with this.
Profile & Communications
With your online account being linked to your email address, you will need to contact the ILM Team so that we can ensure this is updated at our end – please email [email protected] to let us know if you have a new email address that you wish to use for your ILM account.
Once logged in to the ILM member portal, you can add a photo to your ILM profile by clicking Account in the top menu, and selecting Profile from the drop down menu.
In the Your details section, you’ll be able to upload a profile photo (we recommend a square .PNG, .JPEG or .JPG file of no more than 2MB).
As an ILM member or partner, you will automatically be subscribed to receive our weekly newsletters, unless you have previously unsubscribed – to resubscribe, please email [email protected] so that we can attend to this for you.
When logged in, you can complete the short ILM member WhatsApp group opt-in form to request one of the ILM team add you to group via a WhatsApp invitation.
Please note that if you are already a member of the ILM member WhatsApp group, you do not need to consent to being added again.
We appreciate the ability to list multiple email addresses is important to those members working for multiple charities in a consultancy or freelance basis is important and we’re pleased to say you can now add additional email addresses to your ILM account.
There are some restrictions that mean only your primary email address will be used for your member Directory profile listing, but you will now be able to add a profile biography in which you can detail any other charities/organisations you may be working with, along with any additional contact details, in the free text field.
You can add/update your biography for the directory here in the portal (or by clicking Account (see top menu) > Profile > Public profile).
We recommend adding at least your email address and/or phone number, but encourage those who are comfortable doing so to write a little bit about their experience in the sector, add a profile photo and perhaps even add something personal about themselves. 😊👋
Make sure you set ‘consent to sharing profile with other members from within the App‘ to ‘Yes’, click ‘Save changes’, and you’re done!
Whilst the new ILM member portal, or sheepApp, will resolve the issues some members experienced in accessing the old members area, it is still a cloud-based system, meaning all resources are provided via the web.
If your organisation implements firewalls internally, it’s possible that some sheep services (or those that integrate with sheepCRM) might be blocked.
You may need to ask your network administrators to whitelist the following domains:
- app.legacymanagement.org.uk
Alternatively, you contact the ILM team by email to [email protected], if you have any issues.
Member resources (ILM member portal)
sheepApp (built by the friendly, UK-based team at sheepCRM) is the membership management software sitting behind the ILM member portal.
The member portal is where ILM members and partners will be able to renew their membership, review their contact information and access membership benefits such as the Knowledge Hub, Fact sheets, webinar recordings, tools, templates, and more.
Please note that to access the member portal, you will need to use one of the following browsers (NB: Internet Explorer is not supported – learn why):
Opera 62 (Jun 2019)
iOS 12 (Chrome & Safari) (Sep 2018)
Edge 79 (Jan 2020)
Chrome 72 (Jan 2019)
Firefox 65 (Jan 2019)
Safari 13 (Sept 2019)
From 7th August 2025 onwards, if you’re an existing ILM member or partner and haven’t yet accessed the new ILM member portal, just head to app.legacymanagement.org.uk/login/, enter the email address used for the old Members Area, and set your new password.
Once you’ve created your new password, you’ll be able to find and access everything stored in the old ILM members area, only we hope it will be easier to navigate.
If you’d like to join the ILM as a member, please visit legacymanagement.org.uk/membership/ for more information and to register.
If you’re an existing ILM member or partner, and haven’t yet accessed the new ILM member portal, just head to app.legacymanagement.org.uk/login/ and set your new password following the prompts.
Once you have set up your new login details, it might be worth bookmarking https://app.legacymanagement.org.uk/ (or adding it your favourites).
You will also see a button in the top right corner of this website that reads ‘Member login’, which will also take you to the new member portal.
An automated verification code email can end up in a spam or junk email folder, so it’s always worth checking there first.
Though uncommon, your email service provider (or your organisation) implement security settings that prevent the automated emails from reaching you.
You may need to ask your network administrators to whitelist the following domains:
- @legacymanagement.org.uk
Alternatively, you contact the ILM team by email to [email protected], if you continue to experience issues receiving our emails.
If you’re logged in to your account, you can change your password by going to your Dashboard, scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking Update my password.
This will send a code to your registered email address, which you will then need to enter on the next page. From here you just need to set your new password and click Save.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking Forgotten your password? in the account login pop up window, enter your email address, and follow the same process as above.
