Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy

Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the ILM’s vision, mission and values.

We want to provide charities with the expertise and tools they need to optimise the value of their legacies, and to work collaboratively with any person or organisation that can help make the probate sector function more effectively. Working towards this vision is only possible if the ILM is an organisation that is diverse and inclusive of all people and charities, actively encouraging contributions from everyone involved and seeking fairness in representation of our services within the legacy community.

Our organisational values underpin our equality, diversity, and inclusion commitments. It is only through promoting inclusion that we can truly pursue the best service for our charity members. Being collaborative, ambitious, knowledgeable and kind are core values for the ILM and we understand that having an equality focused and committed workforce and membership community drives these principles forward.

As an organisation, we are committed to ensuring that individual contributions are encouraged and valued. We recognise the significant benefits that can be achieved from having a diverse sector and from striving towards inclusion through everything we do to support charities.

If you want to have your say about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I), please use this online survey to tell the ILM what you think. This might be about our events, membership, partnerships, training opportunities or resources – anything at all that you think is relevant. All comments will be taken on board and considered carefully. All comments will be anonymous (unless you tell us we can contact you).

If you have any questions or comments regarding the ILM’s ED&I policy, or would like to join our ED&I working group, please email Esther: membership@legacymanagement.org.uk
