Lucy Gill, Foot Anstey

Lucy leads the Legacies team and specialises in all aspects of contentious trusts and probate work for charities.  Lucy has a comprehensive track record in the charities sector with more than 10 years’ experience of helping charities resolve legacy disputes.

Lucy is a member of Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and an affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having completed the advanced certificate in Trust Disputes.

Lucy works closely with colleagues in the firm’s charity governance, media, property litigation, real estate, private wealth and mental capacity teams to provide a seamless service to clients.

Helen Hoare, Foot Anstey

Helen is a consultant in our legacy and trust disputes team. She has extensive experience in senior level legacy management having worked in the charity sector for 25 years in a number of national charities and in a lead role in the sector-leading legacy management organisation.

She takes a pragmatic, collaborative and sensitive approach to legacy management and is a passionate advocate for the importance of will making and legacy giving to charities. Helen has significant experience in influencing at a senior level and has led teams responsible for raising between £8m and £150m a year.

Helen has also served as a Director and Chair of the Institute of Legacy Management from 2008 to 2014 and her most recent appointment was as Director of Fundraising & Communications at Freedom from Torture.
